The Thunder Dragon Rally

1-24 November 2015

An amazing, three-week tour of the Kingdom of Bhutan
The Thunder Dragon - 2015

thunder-brochure-downloadSome said our pioneering 2014 Road to Mandalay Rally in Burma/Myanmar could never be equalled. However, our mission is to deliver the ultimate rally experience, and we were determined to set a new standard with our non-competitive tour of the legendary Kingdom of Bhutan.

Nestled between India and China at the eastern end of the Himalayas and the southern edge of the Tibetan plateau, Bhutan’s population numbers less than a million, yet its cultural heritage is exceptionally rich. Known as the happiest country in Asia, it is also blessed with spectacular environmental diversity, from snow-capped mountains to lush forests and meadows, and an astonishing range of wildlife.

Rarely visited by tourists, ‘The Kingdom of the Thunder Dragon’ promised an unforgettable adventure for all those taking part in our three-week tour, and delivered even more than we hoped – 1931 Ford driver Sir Gerry Acher was not alone in describing it as ‘the rally of a lifetime’. You may re-live the journey in our videos and blogs – simply click the buttons below or follow the links in the entry list (cars 1, 4, 7, 9 & 15).
